"Welcome to VoxTek!"
~

Hello and welcome to my shrine for VoxTek! This one can be interpereted as a Hazbin Hotel shrine, but it's intended for VoxTek specifically.

I first discovered Hazbin Hotel through its pilot episode, when a friend of mine showed it to me. I was really young at the time, so it didn't really make sense to me. The Vees made a brief appearance there, but I didn't really notice them. Looking at their pilot designs now, I definitely prefer their current looks! Though, I like the idea that being a screen means Vox's face can be whatever he wants it to be - meaning, he chose his face's own art style.

I must admit, Vox is my favorite of the Vees. If he were a real-life person, I'd hate him, but as a character, I find him interesting. I hold the personal headcanon that when he landed in Hell, he wanted a fresh start, and it was only after he had his closest friendship shatter beneath him that he fell into old patterns. I personally like sharks a lot, so the idea that Vox was the one who started Shark Week was fun, and it made me like his character more.

Vox's constant pursuit of approval hits close to home, as does his strong reaction to being called a failure. He definitely takes those things to an extreme, but in doing so, it makes him feel more real and more flawed, rather than a blanket of cartoon evil - evil thrives on hatred. Vox crumbles if he's not loved.

Valentino is a bad person, but in my opinion, he's also a fairly interesting character. I hate him and the way he treats Angel, but I think the way that he's treated within the Vees adds a bit of nuance to who he is. It's clear he cares about Vox, and is hurt when Vox tries to disregard both him and his boundaries. In general, the second season gave him a lot of depth.

Velvette is the self-proclaimed backbone of the Vees, but I absolutely see it. Vox and Val are both outwardly flashy, with one brain cell per individual. In the meantime, Velvette documents their shenanigans, handles the social media press, and holds them together. The Vees are iconic, and I think that Velvette is the one keeping things that way.

This is a bit rambly and disorganized, and also tiptoes around a lot of my headcanons about the Vees, so I'm not sure if I want to show them here. Still though, a lot of this stuff was pinging around in my head, so I wanted a place to dump my thoughts.
